ORIGINAL RHD MANUAL/OVERDRIVE, UPRATED TO 3.8L

Produced Between 1957 and 1960, the Jaguar XK150 FHC was the Last Jaguar Sports Car to be Built Using the Traditional Body on Chassis Construction Method, Before the Introduction of the Semi-Monocoque Construction Used in the E-Type. The XK150 was Jaguar’s First Sports Car to be Fitted with 4 Wheel Disc Brakes which had been a Feature on their 1953 Le Mans ‘C’ types

Built in October 1957, this Factory Right Hand Drive Jaguar XK150 SE Fixed Head Coupe was Optioned with Both a 4 Speed Manual Overdrive Gearbox and ‘Special Equipment’ in the form of: an Uprated Cylinder Head, Servo Assisted Disc Brakes, Spline Drive Wire Wheels and a Dual Exhaust System.

Between 2012 and 2017 a Significant Amount of Effort was Poured into the XK150, during which time the Fixed Head Coupe was Entrusted with Well-Known and Respected Classic Jaguar Specialists ‘Graeme Lord Automotive’, who Oversaw the Body & Mechanical Refurbishment.

This XK150 SE FHC Presents Beautifully in Stunning Regency Red, with Brilliant Brightwork and Sparkling 16 inch Chrome Wire Wheels. The Cockpit is Tastefully Finished in Tan, with Jaguar XJS Front seats, Trimmed to suit the Period, Providing Far Superior Comfort, while a Kenwood Radio/CD Stereo has been Discreetly Hidden behind the Door in the Centre Console.

A 3.8 Litre Engine, from a Jaguar MkX, Replaces the Original 3.4L, having been Completely Reconditioned Prior to Fitting, including: Cylinder Head Reconditioning, Inlet and Exhaust Valves, a Full Set of Engine Bearings, Full set of Engine Gaskets, Block Machining, Crank Grind (0.010”), Rear Main Seal Conversion, Set of Cam Followers, New Oil Pump, Flywheel Machining, Clutch Kit and a Harmonic Balancer.

Other Upgrades carried out Include the Fitting of: Power Steering and a Higher Ratio (3.54:1) Limited Slip Differential, for more Relaxed Cruising and a Complete Electrical System Overhaul with a New Wiring Loom, Electronic Ignition and an Alternator for More Reliable Touring.
