The Gazelle III was Available in Three Body Styles, the Saloon, the Convertible and the Estate, with Options Including of Manual or Manual with Overdrive Transmissions and the New Option of Two Tone Paintwork.
This Port Melbourne Assembled, 1959 Series III Gazelle Wagon is Finished in the Optional Two Tone Paint Combination of Pearl Grey and Cyprus Green, with it’s Contrasting Original Red Vinyl Interior, that is still holding up in Good Condition for its age, Presents Very Smartly.
Designed for Maximum Capacity, the Singer Features a Front Bench Seat with Centre Armrest which could be Raised or Lowered for Additional Front Seat Space, while the Handbrake is Located to the Right of the Drivers Seat and the Gearshift is Column Mounted, However its the Singer’s Ability to Fold Away the Back Seats, Providing a Large, Flat and Very Usable Cargo Space, much Like Modern SUV’s that is Most Impressive.
The Rootes Group Cars of the Period are a Wonderful Blend of Robust Design and Mechanical Simplicity which make them a Very Practical Classic Vehicle. The Gazelle is a Great Little Wagon in which to Experience all that was 1950’s and 1960’s Australian Motoring.
