JAMES BOND MOVE OVER
The Aston Martin DBS was produced between 1967 and 1972 and was designed to replace the DB6 even though the two models overlapped production for about two years. The DBS was initially only available with classic Tadek Marek designed 4 litre DOHC six cylinder engine. This successful engine was originally used in 3.7 litre form in the Aston Martin DB4 and continued through to the DBS.
Despite the DBS body being some 6” wider and 1.5” longer than the DB6 the proportions are a perfect match providing a stunning elegant shape. The extra body dimensions also provide improved cockpit room and comfort.
This Aston Martin DBS presents exceedingly well with its stunning blue paintwork accented by the brilliant chromework and a set of well-laced centre lock chrome wire wheels. The interior trim is in original condition except for some reupholstering of the rear seat backs and front seats. Cockpit comfort is provided by factory fitted air-conditioning. An after-market Clarion radio has also been fitted.
This DBS has been fitted with a Toyota 5 speed manual gearbox mated to the 4 litre DOHC six cylinder engine. The DBS was the first Aston Martin model to be fitted with the De-Dion rear axle replacing the conventional live axle used on all previous models.
This Aston Martin drives very well and provides you with all the luxury and performance that could be expected of an iconic classic such as the Aston Martin DBS.
Now is the time for you to own this classic British sporting coupe and all that goes with the well respected Aston Martin name and heritage.
