1963 IMPERIAL CROWN CONVERTIBLE
THE ULTIMATE AMERICAN CRUISER
As a stand alone Marque, aimed at competing with both Cadillac and Lincoln for American Ultra Luxury Supremacy, “Imperial” was Chrysler’s Crowning Jewel.
The Virgil Exner designed Imperial Crown Convertibles are the epitome of early 60’s design with their Large Truncated Rear Fins, the Faux Spare Wheel Cover in the boot lid, Free Standing Quad Headlights and Space-Age Dashboard design.
As one of just 351 ’63 Crown Convertibles built this Black Imperial with complementing Tan Trim and excellent Brightwork presents exceedingly well.
Fitted with the very best of the period’s creature comforts such as Power Steering, Electric Windows, Electric Drivers Mirror, Electric Adjustable Drivers Seat, Air-Conditioning and Electric Convertible Hood.
The 3 speed Torqueflight Transmission is selected by a vertical strip of chrome push-buttons on the left side of the instrument panel, and is mated to a 413ci V8 producing an extra 40lb-ft more torque than Cadillac’s V8.
This Crown Convertible provides a luxurious ride in absolute spacious period comfort. Its ample proportions ensure more than adequate passenger space, and enormous boot space, allowing you to cruise the highways, hood down, with family or friends in the lap of American style luxury.
The physical size of the Crown and its styling create an imposing presence that cannot go unnoticed!
