1952 RILEY RMB SALOON
FOUR SEATER EXECUTIVE SALOON
The Riley RM series was released post WWII at which time the cars were fitted with a 1.5 litre engine. These engines continued to be used in the RMA until it ceased production in 1952.
The RMB was a lengthened version of the RMA and was fitted with the “Big Four” engine which was of 2443cc capacity.
The Riley RM series was marketed as an Executive Saloon car. Its stylish appearance and high standard interior trim level certainly ticked all the boxes. The 100 BHP “Big Four” Twin High Cam, Hemispherical Head Engine provided good period performance, a top speed of 95 MPH and very comfortable high speed touring.
This beautifully presented Riley RMB Saloon was originally sold by Kellow Falkiner in South Yarra and delivered to its first owner on 19 February 1953 who retained it until October 1973. It is believed that this car has been in the custody of only 3 or 4 owners since new.
The Riley has been with its last owner for around 40 years and its outstanding condition and presentation both internally and externally is a credit to his passion and enthusiasm for the marque.
There is a comprehensive file containing the original sale documents, registration and insurance papers and receipts for service and maintenance work conducted over a number of years.
If you want a stunning example of a Classic Post War Saloon car, this is the one for you.
It is an opportunity that should not be missed as you will not find a better Riley RMB at this price.
Enjoy the Classic performance, style and elegance that only comes with a car of this standard.
