AUSTRALIAN DELIVERED LUXURY SALOON

The MkVI Bentley Standard Steel Saloon was the First Post War Bentley with an All Steel Body made by ‘Pressed Metals’ rather than the Traditional Coachbuilt Body Building Method. These Bodies were Shipped to Crewe for Painting and Assembly onto the Modified RR Silver Wraith Chassis.

This Stunning Bentley MkVI Standard Steel Saloon was Delivered New by Kellow-Falkiner in Russell Street, Melbourne, to D. Speed Esq. Of Toorak on 24th March 1949. Completed in 2005 this Stunning MkVI was Comprehensibly Restored Over Many Years, Now Presenting Beautifully, Finished in Shell Grey Over Tudor Grey with a Complimentary Burgundy Leather Interior Featuring a Burr Walnut Instrument Panel and Door Cappings Adding to the Air of Period Elegance and Luxury.

A History File Accompanies the Bentley Including Previous Ownerships, a Leatherbound 4 ¼ Litre MkVI Handbook, a Photocopy of the Original Car Specification-Work Instruction, as well as an Amazing Reference Book ‘Bentley MkVI’ by Bernard L King which Contains Details for All MkVI’s Produced and those Still Surviving. The File Also Contains Correspondence Between Various Owners and Receipts for Service and Mechanical Repair works Carried Out.

A True Drivers Saloon, the MkVI is Fitted with a Right Hand Gear Change (with the Gear Lever Positioned Between the Driver’s Seat and Door) as well as Steering Column Mounted Driver Controls for the Choke, Hand Throttle and Suspension Stiffness.
