About

In an era where the average workshop believes a ‘thorough check over’ is done by plugging in a computer and ‘repairing’ something means replacing it, its no wonder The Healey Factory has become the Service, Restoration and Repair Centre Classic Car owners turn to.

Since the 70′s The Healey Factory has grown from a backyard enthusiast operation to the Professional Sales, Service, Parts and Restoration/Accident Repair facility you see today.

The Healey Factory staff of 27 have a wealth of racing, rallying and car building experience and are mostly Classic Car owning enthusiasts.

Our tradesmen include mechanics, body makers, panel beaters, welders, automotive painters, fitter and turners and toolmakers. Most of our staff have vast experience beyond their trade,  skills learnt from enthusiasm to do things better.

The opportunity to have pride in a job well done is the main motivation for working at The Healey Factory and our national and international reputation for quality is valued by all those who work here.

After being at our previous Ringwood address for 24 years, we moved to Mitcham in 2012 and now occupy nearly 2 acres at our current site.

The Car Showroom (LMCT 7819) with the adjoining Spare Parts area are the most visible from Whitehorse Road with our workshops behind the showroom being broken up into:

  • Service Department – with its own Dust Free Engine Assembly Room
  • Restoration / Accident Repair Department – with separate areas for Assembly, Chassis and Sub Frame Repair, Panel Repair and Fit Up and Paint Shop with a Climate Controlled Low Bake Paint Booth.
